Altice Media launched Thursday “Dynasty”, a video-on-demand platform common to all of its channels, which offers replays, direct and exclusive content, such as competing services MyTF1 and 6play from the TF1 and M6 groups. From “Bourdin direct” to “Bring the accused” through “Top Gear”, the “thousands of programs” of the channels RMC Découverte, RMC Story, BFMTV, BFM Business, 01TV, as well as those of the local channels BFM Paris, BFM Lyon, BFM Grand Lille, BFM Grand Littoral and BFM DICI, will be accessible in the same place, on the rmcbfmplay.com site and the dedicated application, according to a press release.
Some of them will be offered for free and in preview, like the long format of BFMTV, “Booba, investigation on a bad boy”, available from Thursday, before a broadcast on television on the channel of information on July 5 at 8:50 p.m.
“One of the strengths of the platform is to help the user to quickly choose his programs” thanks in particular to thematic mosaics (“News and society”, “sport and mechanics”, “crimes and investigations”, “adventure and animals “, etc.), indicates Altice Media. “RMC BFM Play is also an AVOD (advertising video on demand) platform”, that is to say a streaming service financed by advertising, which “makes it possible to offer exclusive and completely free content to users”.
The latter will be able to discover The Clinton Affair, a documentary series in seven episodes on the Monica Lewinsky affair, or “Duck Dynasty”, an American reality TV show about a family who made a fortune in duck hunting equipment.
For this AVOD component, “RMC BFM Play relies on a privileged partnership” with the French platform Alchimie, specializing in video-on-demand subscription services and digital thematic channels, “and its vast catalog of content”, adds the group.
